About us

Two desks, one phone number

Drive Matrix started on a salvage yard lot in Fort Worth, quoting used engines to body shops that could never find anyone to haul them. The freight side grew out of that problem. We kept both.

The story

We got into freight because parts kept getting stuck

A remanufactured engine on a pallet is an awkward thing to move. It is heavy for LTL, light for truckload, and every carrier classifies it differently. Shops would buy the part, then lose three days to a freight quote that came back double what they budgeted.

So we learned the freight side. We built a carrier list, learned which lanes actually run and which ones look good on paper, and started quoting the part and the pallet as one number. Shippers with nothing to do with auto parts noticed we were good at the freight part too, and that side of the business grew on its own.

Today we broker general freight across the lower 48 and run a parts counter that ships driveline and wear items nationwide. The two sides share a phone number on purpose.

What we are, plainly

Drive Matrix is a licensed property broker and a parts distributor. We do not own trucks. We contract with vetted motor carriers, which lets us match equipment to the load instead of forcing the load onto whatever we happen to own that week.

How we work

Four commitments we actually keep

01

Quote what it costs

The number in the quote is the number on the invoice. Accessorials are listed before you book, not discovered after delivery.

02

Vet every carrier

Active authority, $100k cargo and $1M liability minimums, and a safety score check before a load is tendered. Re-verified quarterly.

03

Say no when we should

If a lane is thin or a part is questionable, we tell you. Booking something we can't cover costs you more than a turned-down quote.

04

Own the claim

Damage happens. When it does, we file the claim, chase the carrier, and keep you updated instead of handing you a phone number.

Compliance

Licensing, insurance, and safety

Everything below should be updated with your real numbers and certificates before this site goes live.

Broker authority

Licensed property broker under FMCSA. MC and USDOT numbers, plus the BMC-84 surety bond certificate, are furnished on request.

Insurance

Contingent cargo and broker liability coverage in force. Certificates of insurance are issued to shippers on request before the first load.

Carrier standards

Carriers are screened for authority status, insurance limits, out-of-service rates, and inspection history before a load is assigned.

Need it moved, or need the part?

Send us the lane or the VIN. You get a quote back the same business day — no account setup, no obligation.
